About the ProgramThe Biobased Product Marketing Workshop will provide an overview to develop a marketing plan that supports efforts in marketing/selling biobased products to federal, state and local governments.
Program Objectives
• Identify and review market opportunities to grow your business with biobased products
• Review the Biopreferred registration process
• Evaluate internal strengths, weaknesses and external opportunities and threats
• Review the buying process common to local and state governments and institutions
• Review the steps to construct an actionable marketing plan
Intended Outcomes
• To understand market segments within local and state government entities
• To know the potential barriers, and needed resources for market possibilities
• To understand the value elements that influence purchase decisions
• Determine appropriate strategies and tactics to reach target markets with biobased products

"Ohio International Market Access Grant for Exporters" In today's highly competitive global marketplace, "IMAGE" will help Ohio firms seize global opportunities by providing matching grants up to $6,000 for qualified export activities. Pat Perrin will provide the details of the program. Pat joined the Ohio Department of Development's Office of Export Assistance in March 1998 as Business Manager, responsible for the budgeting and accounting functions for the Columbus and international offices. In 2008, as Global Finance Manager, he assumed the responsibility of the Export Finance Initiative, assisting businesses to obtain export financing, working capital financing, and export credit insurance. Previously, he served The Ohio State University for 11 years, managing accounting for eight development projects in Asia and Africa. Perrin received his MBA from the University of Dayton and BS in Accounting and Business Administration from Delaware State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and an alumnus of Deloitte & Touche LLP. Please join us on March 9th and learn more about the role that IMAGE will play in promoting Ohio exports.
