"OARDC - Latest Research and Technologies"
Presented by Dr. F. William Ravlin, Associate Director, The Ohio State University Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center

dr_ravlinFew people involved in agriculture in Ohio are unfamiliar with The Ohio State University Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center. According to its mission, OARDC is “the premier institution committed to safe, healthy, and affordable food and agricultural products; sustainable food and agricultural systems; strong rural and urban communities; stewardship of natural resources and the environment; and keeping Ohio positioned favorably in a global economy.”  In addition to campuses in Columbus and Wooster, OARDC manages eight other agricultural research stations across the state.

Dr. Ravlin received his doctorate in entomology from Michigan State University in 1980.  In that same year he went to Virginia Tech where he ultimately served as full professor, Integrated Pest Management curriculum coordinator, Extension project leader, and Virginia IPM coordinator.  In 1998 he joined OARDC where his responsibilities include: enhancing the research capacity of faculty, forming interdisciplinary teams, strategic planning, contract and grant administration, and resource allocation.  He also leads joint-funded research and Extension programs in technology commercialization and economic development.

Join us at Buehler's Fresh Food Market -1055 Sugarbush Drive, Ashland, OH 44805 (Route 250 West of Interstate 71)
A full breakfast buffet will be served. Your cost to attend this breakfast and presentation is just $10.
