A non-profit business incubator which assists business startups and emerging companies in North Central Ohio. Experienced "Braintree Partners" offer counseling, customer referral, access to capital, and training opportunities.

Mission Statement
"Braintree" is a funded facility, in part by the State of Ohio's Department of Development Technology Division, the City of Mansfield, Richland County and North Central State College (in-kind), and some private businesses. Our mission is to provide low cost operating opportunities for small businesses and to assist in nurturing their prosperous growth. We assist all types of businesses, with special interest in those that strive to bring cutting edge technology to the marketplace. Services of Braintree are generally provided on a cost-recovery basis and only include the services that you need. These low costs services include computerized accounting; payroll & payroll reporting, reception & secretarial, telephone answering, and access to fax & copy machines.

Through Braintree you have access to experienced staff with important links to other business development tools that will assist in achieving both your short and long term goals. These include the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Ashland University, which offers free business counseling and business planning services to help get that special business idea headed in a profitable direction, the Manufacturing and Technology Small Business Development Center (MTSBDC) at Braintree, which provides free and for fee services specifically programmed to support manufacturing and technology companies and an International Trade Assistance Center (ITAC) at Braintree to provide information to companies exploring or actively involved in importing and exporting of products or services.

Braintree Facilities include 80,000 square feet of low cost rental space that can provide a variety of office, manufacturing, technology and assembly work settings. Braintree can provide common warehouse services such as material handling, truck dockage, common carrier, and basic janitorial & maintenance services.

Braintree's objective is to assist its clients in maintaining low overhead expenses during their start-up expansion phases.

NEOInc.

Braintree is a member of the Northeast Ohio Incubator Collaborative. NEOInc was formed by the Edison funded incubators in Northeast Ohio; namely The Akron Global Business Accelerator, Braintree in Mansfield, the Great Lakes Incubator for Developing Enterprises (GLIDE) in Lorain County, the Manufacturing Advocacy and Growth Network (MAGNET) Incubator in Cuyahoga County, and the Youngstown Business Incubator.  NEOInc provides coordinated services to entrepreneurs desiring to start or grow technology-oriented businesses in the 21 counties of Northeast Ohio.

 IdeaCrossing.org is a free online community resource where ideas meet capital, where deal flow flourishes, and where resources, services and support help promote growth and opportunity. Developed by JumpStart Inc., IdeaCrossing is available to all individuals and organizations with an interest in supporting and promoting entrepreneurial activity. The site is designed to facilitate introductions between entrepreneurs, investors, business mentors, and service providers.

IdeaCrossing benefits each user group in different ways:

-      Entrepreneurs can become visible to Investors and find Business Mentors they may not be exposed to otherwise

-      Investors will be matched to deal flow that is specific to their investment criteria

-      Business Mentors can connect with Entrepreneurs and share their expertise on a pro bono basis

-      Service Providers will expand their customer base through a Service Provider directory and track their listing performance
